The Pig

Lipstick on a pig — upgraded Epiphone LP that worked.

An upgraded Epiphone Les Paul–style starter guitar. It started as trying to make a very affordable Epiphone into something better, one part at a time — nicknamed The Pig, as in lipstick on a pig. It actually came out really well. Carbon fiber decal over scratches; upgraded pots, wiring, switch, bridge, nut, and tuners; first-ever fret level, crown, and polish. Later sacrificed — almost everything else went into Goldie.
